Nilima a graduate in economics from St Xaviers College, Kolkata went on to study pattern making at the London College of fashion and since has been involved with various fashion-related subjects and specially designing jewellery with a difference, sustainable jewellery. She taught pattern making at nift Kolkata at a time when Indian fashion and designers were coming of age to evolve into influencers beyond India. She continues to be a special lecturer at Nift Kolkata.
